Project info

Project overview

This project involved transforming an existing facility through structural modification, interior redesign, and functional space upgrades. The work included demolition of selected walls, creating new openings, reworking the layout, and integrating modern finishes. Custom kitchen counters, shelving units, tiled surfaces, and work platforms were constructed to improve utility and aesthetics. Electrical upgrades, new ventilation systems, and fresh plastering and flooring were also executed. The finished interior showcases a mix of patterned tiles, granite/tandoor worktops, planned storage units, and ample natural lighting. The renovation successfully merged functionality with visual appeal while working within the constraints of an active building.

Challenge

  • Working Within an Existing Structure
Modifying load-bearing walls and integrating new beams and openings without disturbing the building’s stability required careful planning and execution.

  • Site Constraints & Limited Space
Access for material handling, debris removal, and labor movement was restricted due to the confined working environment.

  • Structural Alterations & Tie-ins
Blending new brickwork, slabs, and columns with old construction involved alignment challenges and strengthening joints to ensure long-term durability.

  • Maintaining Safety During Demolition and Reworks
Partial demolitions and overhead slab work demanded strict supervision to protect both workers and the existing structure.

  • Finishing Alignment & Utility Integration
Ensuring precision in tile laying, custom counter installation, shelving, electrical fit-outs, and plumbing alignment required multiple coordination phases and on-site adjustments.
